This Privacy Policy explains how PuntWars (“PuntWars”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the PuntWars mobile app and our website at puntwars.com. PuntWars is a sports betting simulation for entertainment — no real money is wagered or won.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address, username, and display name. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and stored only in hashed form.
  • Gameplay data: the simulated bets you place, your virtual coin and bankroll balances, XP, level, division, league memberships, achievements, follows, and any bets or comments you choose to post.
  • Purchase information: records of in-app purchases. Payments are processed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat — we never receive or store your payment card details.
  • Device & technical data: device type and operating system, app version, push-notification token, IP address, and basic server logs.
  • Diagnostics: crash and error reports, with personal identifiers redacted before they reach us.

How we use your information

  • To provide and operate the game, including competitions, divisions, and leagues.
  • To process in-app purchases and credit virtual items.
  • To send push notifications and account-related emails (e.g. password resets).
  • To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, cheating, and security issues.
  • To diagnose problems and improve the app.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run PuntWars, under contract and only as needed:

  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting (United States).
  • Apple, Google, and RevenueCat — in-app purchase processing.
  • Expo — push notification delivery.
  • Sentry — crash and error reporting (with identifiers redacted).

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app’s Settings; we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to meet legal or financial obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@puntwars.com.

Children

PuntWars is intended for users aged 17 and over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

We operate from, and process data in, the United States. By using PuntWars you understand your information may be processed there.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
